It’s been a busy spring and summer over at AAMA headquarters, so we decided to thank our staff for all their hard work with a full week of appreciation events. Staff Week took place in July thanks to our Accounting/Human Resources Manager, Karen Allen, who brought in breakfast and snacks each day and organized one R & R day with events like BINGO, raffles, games and movies.

Some staff also teamed up for a volunteer shift together at Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit organization that purchases and packs food for underprivileged nations. The night AAMA was at the food packaging facility, FMSC was packing food to be shipped to Nicaragua. The night ended with all volunteers packing a total of 20,520 meals in 95 boxes, feeding 56 children for a year! AAMA staff does this team-building event most years during the holidays, as well.

We capped Staff Week by taking a group photo in the lobby of our building. The security officer stationed at the lobby desk commented that she could tell ours was a fun place to work based on how we interacted with each other coordinating the photo! That kind of comradery throughout a company can go a long way.

Even when things get busy like they are for AAMA now, it’s crucial to remember to take a minute to thank your team and let them know how much you appreciate their hard work. If that’s something you do at your company, or would like to do, tweet your ideas at us at @AAMAinfo! We always love to share photos of your workplace celebrations and milestones.
